Some very fast thoughts today. I'm sitting outside under a tree, chatting with three people and posting and supposed to be writing lesson notes from my last lesson today. I just did hair for two of the younger girls (Sarah B. and one of her friends) and I have a little time before tonight's concert.
I made a list earlier of a bunch of little things to write about that I otherwise might forget. So here goes--bits of randomness from the past few days.
It's probably not a good idea to conduct financial transactions in the middle of the night after an exciting and emotionally draining evening. I had trouble remembering if I owed Shannon $5 or if she owed me $5. :P
The sunset time here is late, because we're on the western edge of a time zone. There was still twilight at 10:00 PM when they started fireworks a couple of weeks ago, and it's quite light at 9:30.
The theatre troup did their opening performance of Cyrano de Bergerac last night. It was great--the principle actors were amazing, and the story is also pretty amazing. It's hysterically funny and very, very sad and true to life and human nature all at the same time. I'm going to see it again tomorrow.
In the piano program we've students have been giving the devotionals each morning. Thursday was my day, and it was kind of surprising and funny to me what God ended up guiding me to speak about--making decisions and God's guidance. It was neat to see God bring things together for me at the right time.
Well, I must needs scram; my computer's about to die. :)
Later!
Rachel
