Today

...The Sonshine Girls found out that they will be performing at the state homeschool conference!! We'll celebrate with strawberry shortcake as soon as preparations are complete.

...I went shopping for some gardening supplies. Remind me to grow my herbs from seed next year--$3.50 per pot is ridiculously, outrageously expensive when I could grow many little plantlings from seed for a little over $1 per packet. Ah well.

...I practiced piano for an hour--the second day of my planned practicing regimen for summer. It's fun. There's just a lot more music out there that I would like to play...can't cover it all in only an hour a day. I might have to move up to two.

...I took my bow in to be re-haired. Hopefully it'll make a dramatic difference in the quality of my playing, though I have a sneaking suspicion that such matters, though assisted by the quality of one's violin and bow, are helped much more by regular practice. :D

That's great for the Sonshine girls! I am still waiting for the tulips to die back so I can plant summer flowers. I've been considering my own summer practice plan (currently having taken a grand two days off from practice of any musical instrument)and should really set some goals. Things seem oddly still here at the moment, with my music things being all over... perhaps because only half the family is home for the next week too. That's right, only 6 people. Did you know that makes a very small family? :)
