It's almost the end of May (!). The grass is green and we've had a lot of rain. My garden is calling to me... I've been waiting for warmer weather, for one thing, and I still have work to do in some of my beds before planting. I'm hoping to get everything in by this weekend. I have four new beds this year; it's going to be fun to have the extra growing room!
Goodness, it's a little hard to get back into writing when you haven't done it for ages. I want to bring this blog back to life, though, because I am going to Masterworks! My audition was accepted, and God's provisions for me to go have just been amazing to see. From a huge scholarship, to being able to buy clothes I was thinking I'd have to make, to help with airfare, I have been humbled and amazingly blessed to see Him working this out for me. I leave in less than a month--June 18.
I'm supposed to be practicing 4 hours a day by the time I go, so I've been working into it. Working on last movement of the Grieg concerto for the competition, and getting started on some other music too. This is really crazy, but it's a good crazy. :)
I'm hoping to update this blog while I'm gone (save me from having to e-mail all of you separately), so I thought that I should start bringing it back to life. :) I'm planning to buy a laptop; any of you have a Dell Inspiron? Are you happy with it? I'm currently undecided between the 14-inch screen and the 15.6 inch screen.
I should be off...my practice break has been long enough. :)
Later,
Rachel

SO excited that you were accepted and given a scholarship to MW. I knew you would!! Isn't it just like God to do God-like things for us when we do and delight in His will? Do I need to tell you to have a marvelous time?? I think not! ;)
It's nice to know I'm not the only one that still has work to do in the garden and flower beds. It takes awhile doing it all by ones self. I have the whole front and sides done, and now must work in the back.
Blessings!
That's so exciting, Rachel! Isn't it so wonderful to see God provide for our every need when we follow in obedience to His will. :)
