Yes. In shoestrings, and wheels, and black scottie dogs, and Good and Plenties, even Twizzler (first introduction), and Peppernuts. I always have; ever since I was a small child. After your comment about Australian licorice, I saw some in a candy store while on vacation and picked that up. It's far superior to many other forms. Christina loves it too. But my parents, who say they like licorice, thought was too dark or something to that effect. I happen to like that cheap Twizzler red stuff too, though it doesn't technically qualify. Maybe it's just comfort food. What our dear friends brought us one very bad night in November.
Well, David, I tend to say more in type than aloud. Rachel hears far more from me than almost anybody else I know. Has she ever told you how long my e-mail messages can be? You might not believe her...
Black Licorice? Sounds like a South American insect or germ. Or an order of pirate, particular to the North Caribbean or Southwest Malay, though never seen in the West Caribbean.
Speaking of healthy, you should try fennel bulb since you like black licorice. Thinly slice the celery-like root and toss it in a salad for a burst of licorice refreshment.
