At long last, pictures of the British musician's coat I made. First, some statistics:
Pattern: Pegee's Men's 1770's coat pattern
Fabric: black twill, white woven lining (probably cotton), red duck cloth
Buttons: pewter from Jas. Townsend and Son
Trim: white 1/2 inch twill tape from Joanns
34 buttons
34 button lacings
25-30 yards of twill tape trim (includes button lacings)
Approximately 43.5 hours of work
25 CDs of Focus on the Family Radio Theatre
Random tip: if you need to get duck cloth to iron out flat with no wrinkles after you wash and dry it, the best way is to get it wet again and iron it dry. :)
And here are a few pictures.
We have very few pics of the construction process,
but here's one: sewing on 34 buttons.
Finished product:
Detail work on the sleeve
From the back
The lapels unbutton and fold over for warmth.
The cuffs unbutton and fold down, too, though the picture doesn't show that.
And a couple of pictures that Sarah took at the LH festival.

W.o.w. That is impressive, Rachel. It superceeds anything I've ever done, or will do!
LOL, I glanced at the first picture and thought Joe had on blue and white checkered pants.
