Oh yes--that's what blogs are for, right? It's been two weeks since I posted here. I think that's a record. Perhaps I should treat you to random snippets while I work on the programs for our GNO concert.
After a dry couple of months, we finally got some moisture in the form of about 14 inches of snow last week. The grass is turning green now.
The Sonshine Girls will be auditioning for our state homeschool conference, Lord willing. Practices upcoming and I need to work out a couple of piano parts...
Blogger's spell-check doesn't think "homeschool" is a word. Poor benighted spell-checker.
I was going to work in my garden a couple of weeks ago, but my Saturday got busy...and the next Saturday it was all snowy. Guess gardening will wait for a bit. I'm looking forward to when the rhubarb is ready to eat.
I'm not sure I can have the Rachmaninov piece I was hoping to play for the recital ready in time. I do have a back-up piece, fortunately...and it's a beautiful Chopin nocturne, so if I end up having to play it it'll be fine. I'll just do the Rachmaninov some other time--hopefully later this year.
Chocolate is a good thing.
(currently printing the first 20 of some 100 programs for tomorrow night...)
As you may have noticed by my sidebar, I've been trying to do some reading to prepare for Living History Day. I'd almost forgotten how good 1776 is. I wish McCull0ugh would write lots more about the Revolutionary time period--he's so enjoyable to read. It almost feels as though he knew the people he's talking about. Must be a tremendous amount of research that goes into that kind of writing.
I'm accompanying Michael and Rebecca on their respective sonatas for the recital. Rehearsed with Rebecca last night. Should be fun!
The boys are home and the piano's in use... :)
And that's all that is coming to mind at the moment. Have a good day, all--hopefully we'll see at least some of you at the concert tomorrow!
Till later,
Rachel

It's so good to hear my Sis is alive and well! ;)
Love you!
It's good to hear from you. My second crazy week in a row is getting more intense but must end in a limited number of hours. One nice thing about time not stopping. :)
I like your random posts. Thankyou for sharing!
Sounds like lots of fun!
