Ends on V...

You know you're a musician when you remember the last digit of your good friend's zip code by reminding yourself that it ends on the dominant. (An extension of an odd habit of mine: I sometimes help myself remember important numbers by assigning to each number the corresponding note on the musical scale and memorizing the resulting tune...)

(Sorry--this post isn't going to make any sense unless you have at least a passing acquaintance with music theory...)

That's a good way to help you memorize! That is, the zip code or a few symbols in theory. In my case, the latter. ::winks::

Oh, too fun! I do that too sometimes!

That's hysterical. Considering my propensity to forget numbers, your system sounds rather helpful. :)

Lol - yup, seems like something a musician would do. We've taken to having long and deep discussions about which keys/notes/tempos are the best and our favorite. Hallelujah Chorus in CM? No way... :D I still think Eb, Db, and Gb (no, not F# :P) are the best keys.

LOL, maybe I should try that.
