An update of sorts, because I needed to post something--
Seminars this week and friends in town. No pictures yet--no pictures in downloadable form, anyway--but we're having fun. The boys did a photo shoot downtown yesterday (some interesting stories there) and are rock climbing now. We hope to see them all back in one piece later today. :)
I've still been doing lots of reading--fiction, some biography, and as always children's books. I've also read some more music-related books this summer and that's been a lot of fun. I will post book reviews sometime, hopefully soon.
Are any of you going to Chik-fil-A today? Post pictures if you do. ;) Free cows and sandwiches or something like that, I hear. I don't want to be a cow, even for a chicken sandwich, which I don't like all that much anyway, but someone might end up driving the younger girls (rigged out in cow spots? I want a picture of this) over there. I'm sure there will be plenty of interesting sights to behold, but Starbucks with my sis is more along my lines.
I'm getting back into piano practice and it's so very nice. Working on a Chopin cello sonata to play with Michael, a Bach prelude and fugue, and other things as they strike my fancy. I hope to take semi-regular lessons through the next school year to keep me practicing.
We had some little girls over for a while yesterday. So much fun...here are a few of the hilarious things that they said. During a long and drawn-out discussion about what we all would be when we grow up, the girls were talking about being dress- and veil-holders for weddings:
Me: "Maybe I'll be the dress-holder at your wedding."
Malvina (7): "Oh goody! (pause) But you'd be a grandma!"
Malvina: "Ryan can be a...um...how to say it (pause) an engineer! And you (to David) be a transformer." (loud and prolonged laughter)
Kristin just said we need to do something crazy again so she has something to post about ("...make life interesting somehow!!"). Hmmm....

YOU STILL HAVE TIME TO DRESS UP LIKE A COW AND GO!!! Come On!! Free food!!!! :)
Yeah, I'm already regretting my poorly made decision of going... Oh, and no, it wasn't worth dressing up for a $5 meal.
Did you know that 711 is giving away free slurpies today?
Yes, I heard about that tonight...
Sounds like you guys are having loads of fun. ;)
