Heading East

Hello friends~

I finished John Adams--all 650-some pages of it!!! It's about time; I don't even remember for sure when I started it. Sometime in February or March? Very good book, well-written and researched. I did enjoy it a lot; I just decided it was time to be done and haven't read much of anything else for close to a week. Now I can embark on my other reading adventures.

We leave in the morning for KY, Washington D. C., and MI. Should be a fun trip! I'm looking forward to relaxing times in the car after the work of getting things ready to go. You should see my books this time. I probably have way too many, but that's far better than having too few. :) Biographies of Lilias Trotter and Martha Washington, Ravi Zacharias' autobiography, The Abolition Of Man (C. S. Lewis), Playing (less) Hurt: A Musician's Guide to Injury Prevention, a set of three George MacDonald books, The Scarlet Pimpernel... I shouldn't be bored. I usually go book shopping at the antique stores near where my grandma lives, so I will probably be coming home with more books than I left with.

There are some picture posts bouncing around in my head, but at this point they can wait for a couple of weeks. I'm sure there will be pictures (or links to pictures) of the trip when we get back. Until then, God bless!

Rachel :)

Have fun in DC and with your family! I have been out here for almost two weeks, and it is rather hot to say the least. Saddly, I have not had time to read...
