Hymn for the Week

Due to a trip to the mountains, a birthday, and Mother's Day all taking place yesterday, this is a bit late again. (I will have pictures to post soon...)

Let's work on May The Mind Of Christ, My Savior this week--here is the usual link. It's a little easier than the last hymn, it's in a major key, and it was written within the past 150 years, so it'll be a bit of a contrast. :) We used to sing this together on a regular basis but it's been a while since I have thought much about it, so I am looking forward to it.

May the mind of Christ, my Savior,
Live in me from day to day,
By His love and power controlling
All I do and say.

May the Word of God dwell richly
In my heart from hour to hour,
So that all may see I triumph
Only through His power.

May the peace of God my Father
Rule my life in everything,
That I may be calm to comfort
Sick and sorrowing.

May the love of Jesus fill me
As the waters fill the sea;
Him exalting, self abasing,
This is victory.

May I run the race before me,
Strong and brave to face the foe,
Looking only unto Jesus
As I onward go.

May His beauty rest upon me,
As I seek the lost to win,
And may they forget the channel,
Seeing only Him.

P. S. Due to a trip to Canada for a very special wedding (remember this?) this weekend, there won't be a hymn for the week next Sunday. Enjoy the break!!

I love that one. Though I memorized it at some point, it definitely needs some review. When the words that come next refuse to come to mind, review is obviously necessary. My voice has been gone for the last two days so I've not been singing aloud or even humming... imagine that... but this will be a good one to have running through my mind.
