This Year

It's amazing that 2009 is almost done. It's been quite a year. My friend was saying this morning that she's about given up on expecting a year to be normal and docile (or something to that effect), and I believe that I agree. This year has held both hard things (the homegoings of friends and family) and happy things (fun memories made, time with good friends, lots of music, our piano recital). God is good regardless of what happens or what we think--comforting fact.

In the meantime, life is an adventure! I'm not sure what 2010 will hold--probably more music, more books, more time with friends and family, and who knows what other surprises thrown in. It will be exciting to see God's hand at work. In closing, I'll send you over to Anna's post--I was actually thinking about re-posting this poem, but she's done it for me. :) A happy and blessed new year to you, my friends!

P. S. Look for my yearly book list something this evening. I have one more book that I'd like to finish. We'll see if it happens. :D
