Pray!!

Dear friends,

I know it's been a terrible and awful amount of time since I've posted on here. I've been busy, I'm sorry, and a better explanation will follow later (nothing earthshattering so don't worry). Something more important for now:

We have just over 96 hours until the polls close on Tuesday night. While it will be nice to be past the hubbub of political season, the results of said election can be a real cause for concern. I'm trying to spend some extra time in prayer for the results of the election; will you join me? Though other work is very important, prayer is more so and we often forget that. Here's part of my list to pray for the upcoming election:

  • That Amendment 48 would pass (basically, it would change the definition of "person" in the Colorado State Constitution to include the unborn, thus laying groundwork for further pro-life legislation--more here)
  • Presidential election
  • State senate election--Schaffer's the man!
  • Local candidates (state house and senate, various county seats)--find out who yours are and pray for them.
  • That truth and justice might be proclaimed, believed, and voted for.
  • For the election process--that it would be fair and fraud-free.
  • For campaign staffers and volunteers. These people will be doing a lot of work in the next 4 days. They need endurance and good communication skills.
  • For everyone involved in communicating our message, especially to undecided voters--that they would have a passion for communicating truth and good persuasive skills.
  • The hearts of the voters--that they would see, understand and support what is good and right.
  • Revival for our country
  • That God would be honored and glorified and His truth proclaimed through this process.

Daniel's prayer in Daniel 9 is also good to pray through. We don't have much time left, people. Work if you can, and no matter what, pray.

Thanks for sharing that list with us! Very good reminders ... even the "smaller issues" that we need to be praying for as well.
