Well...I think it's about time for another post. But I don't have anything specific to write about and I don't have pictures for you at the moment, so I'll just give you some scatterbrained statements.
We had our big orchestra concert last Wednesday. Don't have pictures at the moment, but I may be able to post some later.
My first strictly student recital is tonight; 12 budding pianists, violinists, and one violist have been practicing hard. It should go well...I hope. :) After this I need to go start setting up chairs upstairs. Should fold the programs too.
Neat website here. It's all about Bible reading plans. When I'm done with the 90-day plan I think I want to try reading the Bible chronologically.
I need to go to the library.
I had a piano lesson on Wednesday! It was a very happy thing. I hadn't had one for months. It was really good to play some things for my teacher and get my long list of questions answered. I'm working on the Revolutionary Etude (Chopin) for our recital.
Living History is coming up; more information here. I practiced with my string quartet last night and it's going to be fun. We're playing music from the Colonial time period and earlier. Our very newest hot-off-the-press piece was just written about four years ago in 1771!
Still trying to read John Adams and it's not going very fast. :) I did finish North and South, though!
All for now. Hopefully pictures will be coming soon! Have a good weekend.

Did your student recital go well? That's great that you have 12 students!
Um, I'm sort of confused. How can something be written four years ago in 1771? Wouldn't it have been 237 years ago? Was that a typo, or did I not understand something right? =)
Well at any rate, I'm glad you're having fun with the string quartet! Where do you get your music for it?
The recital did go well! I have pictures of that too; I'll have to post 'em sometime.
Sorry for the date confusion. Our Living History event this spring is set in spring of 1775, so 1771 was four years ago if you're in period. :) I slipped back in time for a minute there...
As for where we find our music, some of the classical stuff comes from a quartet collection, we've found some of it on http://www.sibelius.com (some good free arrangements there), and I have arranged pretty much all of our folk and English Country Dance music. I find the tunes here and there. http://www.contemplator.com is a good resource for that kind of thing.
Ahh, gottcha! That makes sense. =)
