Gingerbread

A fairly recently Christmas tradition of ours is to have a gingerbread house building-and-decorating contest with our friends the Ts. We do three houses--girls, boys, and parents. 'Tis a lot of fun. Here are some pictures that I thought you'd enjoy. (Prizes are awarded by the parents, in case you were wondering.)

Looks like fun! Reminds me of the times in days gone by when we did that with our cousins at our Grandma's house. We would eat ourselves sick!

Yeah, Pat brings up a interesting question.. Are you planning on eating them? Please say “No, we don’t and wouldn’t ever think of eating them”. I have many memories of eating stale ginger bread and really, really hard twizzlers..

Good Pictures

Well, last year we had a second get-together date on which we dismantled and ate the houses. Don't think that will happen this year, though, so the desirable candy is just being picked off and eaten as people see fit. I noticed yesterday that all the trees on the boys' property are missing. I personally ate quite enough candy while we were making them and I'm not sure that any of us aspire to the consumption of stale gingerbread. Besides, we used hot glue for a number of things...

Now those are CUTE!! They look like they'd be lots of fun to make. Do you eat them? =)

I was wondering how those goal posts were standing up so well..

As for the Oriental wise man, he is just plain cool.. nice touch on the eyebrows.
